Scope
Brand Refresh · Menus · Print Collateral · Loyalty Cards · Packaging

In 2022, I worked on refreshing Lal Qila’s visual identity across menus, packaging and in-restaurant collateral. The aim was to bring consistency to a well-established restaurant brand while preserving the heritage and character that made it recognisable.

01   The idea

Regal,
not heavy

Lal Qila takes its name from the Red Fort, so the visual direction drew inspiration from traditional architecture, rich crimson tones and geometric detailing.

The challenge was to create a cohesive look that felt regal without becoming overly ornate. I used a consistent colour palette, typography and decorative elements to connect everything from menus to packaging.

The result was a refreshed visual language that respected the restaurant’s heritage while giving its everyday materials a more unified feel.

02   Menus and print

Menus that feel
like an invitation

I designed a range of menus and in-restaurant print materials, bringing together food photography, structured layouts and subtle heritage-inspired details.

Each piece was designed to be easy to navigate while maintaining a consistent visual identity across different formats.

03   Loyalty and access

Cards with a
sense of status

From membership cards to entry passes and vouchers, I created designs that felt like an extension of the dining experience.

Rich colours, refined typography and consistent branding gave even the smallest pieces a sense of occasion.

04   Billing and stationery

Even the bill
looks the part

The brand experience doesn’t end when the meal does.

I carried the visual identity into bill folders and stationery, using consistent colours and decorative details to make these everyday essentials feel considered and connected to the wider brand.

05   Packaging

From takeaway
to gifting

I extended the refreshed identity across takeaway boxes, bags, trays and gift packaging, adapting the designs to suit different materials and formats.

Whether it was a simple takeaway order or a more premium gifting experience, the goal was to make every piece feel unmistakably Lal Qila.
